The team was up and early to be part of the media preview for the 2010 “Explore Singapore” campaign organized by the National Heritage Board (NHB).
The creative folks behind the campaign came up with an “Amazing Race” style race route that brought journalists and reporters to various museums in Singapore.
As the main highlights for the “Explore Singapore” campaign, Ning & I were present at the first stop at the Asian Civilizations Museum. We spoke to the media and even gave them sneak previews of “The Aerial Exit” mega illusion and our all-new interactive illusion show “Illusions of the Mind”.
It was heartening (and honestly a pleasant surprise) that the media was genuinely so excited and supportive about our mega illusion and show. Most of the reporters were familiar with our past stunts and are looking forward to “The Aerial Escape” because it literally takes our mega illusions to the next level.
I think “The Aerial Exit” is shaping up to be the magic event of the year in Singapore! Ning & I are really proud to be in a position to raise the level of magic in this part of the world and it is rewarding that our original ideas create excitment even amongst possibly “cynical & jaded” journalists.
Small snippets of our all-new interactive illusion show was also tremendously well-received! This is brand new material that has never been presented before but we have been rehearsing for the past year.
We were interviewed by all the reporters who were present including Channel News Asia, The Straits Times LIFE, Today, Yahoo, 100.3Fm and Lianhe Zaobao. So, do lookout for coverage of the “Explore Singapore” campaign and our illusions tonight and over the next few days.
After chatting with the media, we posed for photographs for the various outlets. The blue toy you see below is a reproduction of a vintage robot toy provided by the MINT Museum of Toys. We created a custom illusion for today’s preview using items from both the Peranakan Musem and the MINT Museum.
Will keep you posted of the media features as they become available!
