This year, Ning & I, with the help of our fantastic team, have worked really hard putting Singapore on the world map.
We are really happy that several things worked out to achieve that objective. Our setting of a new world record magic act in Jun 2009, being the first Singapore Illusionists to receive Merlin Awards and being the first Asian magicians to be featured on Europe’s largest magic magazine have all helped the rest of the world learn about our small island.
Tony Hassini, Chairman of the International Magicians Society, has flown into Singapore from New York to present us the Merlin Awards later this evening. He spent yesterday meeting local magicians and being introduced to our country’s magic talent. No doubt he will help spread the word to the rest of the magic world of the potential we have here. Hopefully, we have helped other magicians to be recognized in future and we are really happy to be in a position of paving the way for other local talents.
Both the local and international magic media have been really supportive in recognising these small achievements! Our own Singapore Tourist Board has also been very supportive of us as magical ambassadors of Singapore in a way. So, all I really want to say is thank you!
Cya later at St James Power Station!
