You might have read about my entry on the “Human Light Tunnel” illusion here. At that time, after spending weeks re-engineering the illusion, I thought that the final design work of the illusion was done… but I was wrong.
Ning had a look at the illusion and said it looked like the trolleys that “Dim Sum” is served on. For my overseas readers, that would be a trolley in a Chinese restaurant that holds plates of snacks and food.
So, challenging me creatively as usual, I spent the next hour designing additional elements to un-“Dim Sum”-fy the prop. Then, another half an hour working out dimensions. My sketches were then designed on computer by our designer and sent out to our vendor.
Two days & a few hundred $ later, we assembled the materials and mounted them onto the prop. The end result…
Ning is happy.
