People often ask us what is it like to be a professional illusionist. We can’t speak for anyone else but our schedule comes in crazy blocks at a time. The last two weeks have been fairly easy with just our “Ultimate Magic” shows and some corporate shows. This has given us time to launch several all-important marketing and publicity initiatives that are already bearing fruit. I’ve also used the time to finish my book “Urban Illusions”, which is just about to be sent for print.
The next two weeks are getting crazy. We did our Channel News Asia interview yesterday and still have our daily “Ultimate Magic” shows @ The Arena.
But, we are also busy preparing for the Southern England Magic Convention which we are leaving for at the end of this week. Amidst the preparation for the show and lecture, there are also the essential clothings and neccessities as it is freezing up there.
So, we will be the UK for a full week and the afternoon we touch down on 2 Feb, we will be proceeding for “Ultimate Magic”.
The next few days don’t get any easier we have a huge international conference at Shangri-la on 5 Feb. Load-in is at 4.00am! This is a major event where we have produced a spectacular 8min opening illusion sequence that will culminate with the client’s CEO appearing on a motorcycle in the center fo te stage.
The next day will see us performing a corporate Show after Ultimate Magic.
On 9 Feb, Ning & I will be making a special appearance at Nayang Technological University (NTU).
The next day, if all goes according to plan, we will be spending half a day filming at MediaCorp for an illusion segment created for us on a new primetime TV show. More on this later!
Also look out for us in the media from print, to TV to radio to the Web! 🙂
