Show production for ‘Magic Babe’ Ning’s “The Impalement Cage” Mega Escape on 5 Jul 2008 and our “Ultimate Magic” permanent show is well on the way. For the Mega Escape, production meetings with Clarke Quay (venue sponsor) and The Arena (organizers) as well as our technical team are on-going.
Custom-modifications to “The Impalement Cage” will be completed by the end of May and Ning has already been rehearsing the skills she needs to succeed in the escape.
For “Ultimate Magic”, renovations are in progress at The Arena to expand their staging and video facilities to accommodate our illusion show. Motion graphics are being designed that will serve as the backdrop for many of our illusions via a giant LED screen.
All the major new props are also being redesigned with new set pieces for individual acts.
We are still in the process of fabricating and staging is my new teleportation illusion, which is a featured highlight in the show. This version of my 50-storey teleportation from last year will see me teleport across Singapore into The Arena daily. We are currently talking to various attractions that are interested in allowing us to use their venues as the starting point of the teleportation. The two teleportation chambers that are being built right now have been an enjoyable design challenge, I will be chronicling the design process in a future blog entry.
